righten the Home Circle by Installing Low-Priced Electric Light
The very low electric lighting rates which are now in effect should
stimulate the wiring of already built houses. Thousands have been
equipped for electricity during the past few years.
The connected load, number of sockets,' number or size of lamps or
appliances iffuse will have no bearing in the new rato schedule. The
customer will pay a specified rate per kilowatt hour for the current
used each month, irrespective of the size of his connectca load.
After the first 25 kilowatt hours monthly, the additional consump
tion will be charged for at the next lower rate and so on down the
schedule. .
, For example, assuming a customer uses 50 kilowatt hours in a given
month, his net bill would bo as follows:
25 kilowatt hours at 8 cents. . . $2.00,
25 kilowatt hours at 6 cents. . . $1.50
Net bill $3.50
Average rate 7 cents per kilowatt hour.
The largo majority of electric light users will have their electric
"rates reduced. The small and medium sized consumers will derive sub
stantial benefits.
OMAHA. ELECTRIC LIGHT POWER COMPANY

Maximum lighting rates have been reduced approximately 40 per cent within the past 2 years due to physical improvements and growth of business
