Handily, 6 to 0.
KELLEY MASTER IN THE SECOND
Omaha and Sioux City broke even In
bargain Mil staged at Rourke park
yesterday, the Rourkes copping the
opener. 6 to 0, through the masterful
twirling of Tom Blodgett, and lost tho
second, 4 to 8.
Blodgett pitched a pretty game In the
(first and allowed but two hits, both of
thorn grounders which bounded bad. The
Ploux never had a chance to score. Not
once did a man get to third baae and
only two reached second. During the
first five rounds Blodgett twirled httless
ball, the only men reaching first getting
there on errors by Tom, who failed to
field their bunts. Then one hit was
niAed by Clarke In the sixth, and Da
vidson made a single In the seventh.
Behind Blodgett the Rourkes hammered
a youth named Boothby with little cere-
y-mony. .Mr. Boothby waa In 111 humor.

tare whether school kept or not.
To start the ball rolling. Cy Foravtha
poled a circuit clout over the right gar
den wall in the fourth. The Rourke
then began to batter Mr. Boothby'
slants unmercifully, and He was glad
when the end arrived.
Keller Too Huk for Omaha.
In the second game a rookie named
Kelley-held the Rourkes In tha hollow
of hla mitt, except In the seventh frame,
when Omaha pounded out three run by
as many hits. Only on other hit waa
made off Keller, that a double by Krue
ger In the second.
Barney Everdon pitched a steady game,
but couldn't beat the Bloux with Keller
howlng the form he did. The three puna

hostllea put over the winning run in tho
ninth.
