Western Passenger association numerous
matters pertaining to the passenger end
of the railroad business were threshed
over, but most of the problem were re
ferred for action at the leext quarterly
meeting to be held In Chicago.
The request for reduced rates to the
next national encampment of the; Grand
Army of the Republics was denied, were
all other application for lower rates.
However, the Grand Army of the Republic
matter may receive further consideration
from the tourist committee.

Farmer' National congress, to be held
In Omaha, but it was placed on file, the
contention being that most of the dele
gates will come from states In which
the 3-cent per mile rat Is in effect.
The dog question came up on a propo
sition to crate dogs shipped in baggage
car, but It waa turned down and in the
future dogs for shipment will be handled
the same a now.

By a unanimous vote it was decided
that all railroad of the avsoclatloa would
conform to the provisions of the Cum
min law In the checking and handling

It was decided to stand by the rule al
ready adopted In handling alien from
Canada, this rule being in conformity
with the laws of the United State to a
great extent. Parties coming from
Canada must have money sufficient to
pay fare to desinatlon, else they will
