admission to the local nark todav to
umpire the game between the Lincoln
and Bloux City clubs, and left the park
entrance after he had been threatened
with arrest by President Hush 1. Jones
of ths local team. Tho barring of the
umpire from tn park was the outcome
of the dispute yesterday, when the game
between the Lincoln and Des Moines
teams was forfeited by Cusack to the
latter dub.
CHICAGO, June 9. President Tin
O'Neill of the Western league, declined
to comment on the barring of Umpire
Cusack from the Lincoln grounds, pend
ing official advices. Ho aald he had no
doubt of the legality of today's game
as umpire Myers was on hand.

NTBW YORK, June 9. Ths famous
yaoht Columbia, which twroa successfully
defended the American oup, has been
sold for $16,000 to a restaurant proprietor
here, and portions of its bronre hull
and aluminum deck will be distributed
as souvenlors to diners, it was lesrned
today. Most of the old cup defense
yachts have been broken up for the
value of ths metal In them, but none of
them has met with so unusual sn end.
The Columbia defeated Sir Thomas Up
ton's Shamrock I and the Shamrock It,
and waa the only racing yacht to defend
the oup twios.

GALESBURG, 111., June 9.-Kddie
O'Donnell took the lead in the first quarter-mile
and maintained that position in
front of eleven rivals to the finish, won
the second annual Galesburg 100-mile au
tomobile race today In 1:36V Tom Alley
was second, Billy Chandler, third; Joe
Cooper, fourth, and W. W. Brown, fifth.
The only accident was that suffered by
Louis Pelo, Cooper's mechanician, who
got a piece of glass In an eye. Karl
