Miss McPbervon has been most actively connected with the VUlUns
Nurse association of Omaha for years and Tier departure creates a, noticea
ble void in the corps of workers. "
In appreciation of her efforts in the work the board of directors of
this association presented Mies McPbernon at the reception this afternoon
with a handsome gold wrist watch. The watch has the BQuare English
fare decorated with the Roman, figures in blue enamel.
Miss McPherson took up the work with the Visiting Nurse association
Immediately on leaving school and has assisted In all. the phases of its de
velopment he took a course of nursing in order to give relief in case
of emergency She Is greatly wrapt up in her work and plana to continue
it when In her new home. . '

Quantity at present on the Omaha market
They are quoted as selling at cents a
pound In Chicago, but Omaha haa very
few of them at this time. They ar x
pected to begin coming In regularly very
soon.. Old potatoes ean be had at TO
cents a bushel, and good quality for this
time of year.
New peas are 10 ?ents a quart. New
cabbage is hers at S'i cents a pound.
Kptnach is scarce on account of the frosts
recently suffered In Texas. Pweet potatoes
are 7H cents a pound; cucumbers. 15 cenfs
each; asparagus, 30 cents a pound;
rhubarb, i cents a pound; celery, S ant
7Mi cents a bunch: radishes, beets, onions
turnips snd carrots are 4 cents a bunch.
