'date of their annual stsg bsnquet. One hundred and fifty guests have made
reservations for this affair and the club rooms are elaborately decorated
with flags, small hatchets and cherry branches.
! The Major Isaac Sadler chapter of the Daughters of the American
Kevolution Is giving a bridge party this afternoon at the Ban ford hotel.
The proceeds of this function are to be the means of placing aa historical

Phi Gamma Delta Dinner.
The largest affair of Saturday evening
was the annual pig dinner of Phi Gamma
Delta fraternity at the Hotet Loyal.
Members of the fraternity came from a!l
parts of Nebraska and low aa well as
more distant points. The chapter at Lin
coln sent fifty representatives. Quan
tities of oak leaves, green pigs and yel
low corn were usrd In the decorations,
yellow and green being the fraternity
colore.
The head et the largest pig wss given
to E. C. Huston ef Tekamah, the oldest
graduate present, following an old custom
of the fraternity. Mr. Huston graduated
la 1IV. .
Wallace Troup of Omaha had charge of
the banquet.

WAS ACTIVE UNTIL THE LAST
Mra. Klnie YoJngberg. probably the old
est woman In Omaha, died at the home of
her daughter, Mra. Ncla Anderson. Kit
Marcy street, Saturday, She was 100
years. 1 weeka and days of age. Bhe waa
baby girl, five months old ,in her
mother's arms In Sweden, when the first
French cannon boomed the opening of
the battle of Waterloo. Mrs. Toungberg
emigrated to America with her two
daughters after ber husband died In
Saeden. She was 70 yeara of age when
she came to America. She eettled directly
in Omaha, and has lived her all the
time. She la survived by ber two
daughters, Mrs. Nels Anderson and Mrs.
Andrew Larson, both of Omaha. In spite
of her extreme age she waa active until
the last two weeks, when her advanced
years began steadily to drain her vitality
until the end.
The funeral services are to be held at
the home of Mrs. Nels Anderson, Twenty-
sixth and Marcy streets, this after
noon at t o'clock. Burial la to be In
West Lewn cemetery.

who knew Mr. Dunham for many years.
Services were conducted at Maaonle
temple at I p. m., with S. D. Davidson,
past grand tnanter of the Masonlo grand
lodge ot Nebraska, officiating. Mr.
Davidson came here from Tecumseh for
the funeral.

The body wes In state for several hours
before the service. Burial was at Pros
pect Hill cemetery

as honorary pallbearers. The active pall
bearers were rhoeen from the Maaonle
lodges at the time of the funeral. They
were H. E. Race, O. R. Toung, J. J.
Chipman. H. Van Arsdale, M. M. Rob
ertson and J. H. Butler.
Masonic services were held at the tem
ple end et the cemetery.

The w edding was a very quiet one, only
the personal attendants being present
Mrs. Gladys Sires and Mr. R. H. Andrew.
Mr. Vom Weg is the young man who waa
accidentally wounded less than two Weeks
ago by a revolver In his father's store
on Leavenworth street, and 'on getting
out of the hospital he resolved to cele
brate his recovery by getting married
The young people are now out west on
a honeymoon trip.

FINALLY AGREE TO MEET
The long-deferred annual meeting ef
the governors of Ak-Sar-Ben la to bo
hold Tuesday evening, February 23 at the
Omaha club. The meeting haa been post
poned on various occaalons because many
of the governors were out of the city.
Three places on the board are to be filled
as three terms expire.

Secretary Lane of the Interior depart
ment, who represented President Wilson
at the opening of the San Francisco ex
position, will be in Omaha tonight,
enroute to Washington. He will arrive
on the Union Pacific No. S at 1:45 o'clock
and will remain fifteen minutes.
Little Woman Hears
of Friend's Death by
Paper on Street
A motherly little woman was welting
for a street car or Jitney bus at Six
teenth and Farnam streets yesterday.
In the gutter she observed a stray sheet
ot newspeper which showed a woman s
picture.
The elderly woman picked up the paper,
scanned the picture which attracted her
notice, read the accompanying article,
tore out the coveted portion of the paper
and the.i wiped away a teardrop.
"I knew her well. She waa a fine
woman," she remarked to a bystander.
The picture waa of Miss Margaret
O'Brien, former assistant public librarian
for many years and who died Sunday
morning In Seattle.

who had appeared before Omaha audi

died Sunday at the home of his wife's

ber of the Eagles and it la expected that
order will have charge of the funeral
services.
