There are reporta of an Invasion of
locust In the north of Argentine. Argen
tina has S,000,10 bushels of old-rop
corn still on hand, and the exnortahie
surplus of the crop now nearly ready for
oc nnrvrater is placed at z.MRm,oio buen
ele. The exports of the old corn have
been 14J.0OO.OUO bushels.
There was considerable liquidation In
cats on the part of local houses, but the
price loss Was small. The seaboard re
ported am.noo bushels for export. There
was a cargo of wheat sold to go out via
the gulf and 12&,iii0 bushis of corn and
8..0ii bushels of oats. Th total sales or
corn here were ZA.Wt bushel, fcxport
bnalnes In oats was large.
In hog products there wss a further
moderate volumo of scattered liquidation
and considerable short selling by several
local traders, particularly of May and
July pork. There waa rather free buying
of ribs and lard, attributed to packer.
Cash trade was alow In meats.

lower.
Corn was UTHc lower.
Oats were unchanged to V4 higher.
