Helen Knnla BOUT the only good purpose "The Whip" Is serving Is to remind us of the progress we have made in the matter of our amusement at the theater. Time was when a play of the ype of "The Whip" would have been tailed as worth while, while the scenlo Kjulpment would have been considered a triumph of stage craft. It takes us back to the days of ' "The Ticket of Leave Man," "Under the Oua Light," and slm Bar Joys of forty years ago. but, asMe from a bit of reminiscent ache.
