Wheat price have reached a le-el al

mer. The foreign demand Is as Insistent

question of getting the wheat than of
price. Wa are about on a domestic basis,
according to some of the statisticians,
and the absence of selling pressure is
tightening the May. so that It responds
readily to any buying At the same time
tlie absence of speculative abort Intereat
makes It susceptible to sharp declines
when any renhsfng appears.
Export salea of around 6,000.000 bushels
wheat have been made In all positions
this week. All the winter wheat msrkots
save been drawn on to an extent that haa
put cash wheat to May prloe to a pre
mium, which Is strongly In favor of th
bulla. Traders who have sold out feel
nervous levaueo they fear prices nwiy
advance further without their having
any wheat. There has been a good deal
ot' spreading the last few daya. buying
in Minneapolis and selling In Chicago.
A few of the provision traders are bull
ish despite the big run of hogs and In
creasing stock of product. Tliey believe
that Europe la rapidly consuming Its
supplies, and, regardless' of peace or war,
next summer will be a large buyer of
American hog products.

Hard winter wheat was S4c higher.
Corn was tflo higher.
Oats were VrfrAtC hlsiher.
Clearances were; Wheat and flour
equal to 1,449,000 bushels; corn, 3U6.O0O
bushels: oats, 67,009 bushels.
Liverpool closed nominal; wheat, not
quoted; corn, a to So higher.
Primary wheat receipts were $70,000
bushels and shipments l.l.'S.OOO bushels,
sgslnst receipts of mil (nil bushsls and
