St. A quo warranto suit, asking that the St. Louis Live Stock exchange be ousted from the atate of Illinois, on the ground that It Is a trust In restraint of trade, was filed here today by the attorney general of Illinois. It Is declared that the exchange dom inates the business of the National Stock yards of East St. Louis exercising "en tire control" and that It Is impossible for any one not a member of the ex change to transact commission business at the yards. : Accompanying the request for a write of ouster was a petltloo filed with At torney General Lucey by Elbert EL Henry. Mr. Henry In hla petition chargea that the St Louis Live Stock exchange con trols all the business In the territory tributary to the National Stock yards, and that all commission men denlrln'g to do business at the yards must be mem bers of the exchange. Mr. Henry also charged 'that he once had a lucrative business at the stock yards, but that he wai black listed by the St. Louis Live StocJt exchange and his business thereby made worthies. Estimates announced today by the Department of Agriculture placed the 1V14 yield at 2'i, 000.000 bushels, or 114,000,0no more than was produced last year. Theso figures represent the actual 'ag rtcultural yield," the department ex plained, and should not bo confused with those of commercial crop, which com prises the marketed portion of the total production. In 1913 the commercial crop was estimated at 40 per cent of the agri cultural production.
