ONT yon hate to see the old-fashioned Christmas cards go out? In Dplif of the traditional cards of Christina greetings there bat , been growing, for several seasons past, a tendency for the per sonal card of greetings. Iifdlcationi are that this new fad in gaining in vogue and the cheery l.ttle cards, with their hackneyed traditional Christmas phrases, mutt be relegated to the shelf. Hence this protest and these tears. Commonplace these old cards mar he, with the cunning Santa Claus on them all Jolly and rosy, and bedecked with impossible folks and figures, but even so, there Is a pretty sentiment back of it all. There was something individual, too, in the old card, a certain amount of thought was necessary in their selection and we all had such fun hunt ing them cards that had a touch of sympathy, a note'of some kind that would touch the recipient's mood or occupation. But the new-fangled personal greeting card destroys all of this, and the intimacy of greetings. It is a wholesale sort of greeting, so to speak, without that touch of love which makes the world akin.
