"This-return shows that, of the num

who were here mora than one month, and
therefore may be properly charged, up
a having taken treatment at th institu
tion, and whom we were able to trace,
about one-half were then maintaining
themselves through their own work. This
leaves a very high death rat, which I
explained by the fact that only 1$ per
cent of these case were of the early or
Incipient, and therefore favorable class.
Our percentage Of recoveries of this class
was over 70 per cent. Considering the
fact that the record above is ot 'tiltimst
results' after a period varying from six
months to five years ot life after dis
charge, w consider this allowing; to be
finite favorable. Especially Is this so
when tinesa results sre compared evllli
