th week to date are with one exception
the Itchiest of th year
Other markets reported fresh sdvsnces
this morning and the local trade opened
In good shape. Shippers bought such
hogs as they could use at figures that
were all of Ion higher, ana in some in
stanrea were nuoted aa more than that
Aa high a $ "6 waa paid by a shipper
for a load of good light, wltn a few
rough hogs sorted out. Packers started
bidding on a ateady bssls, but nothing of
anv ronseequence was sold at this time
and buyers raised their offers until first
sales wer all of 641lOc higher. In tact
not many hog were cashed on this
level, most of the sellers holding out
for.- and eventually getting a flat dime
advance. The general market is fully
dim higher than yesterday' average.
Once the killers got going trade waa
fairly active and a clearance wa mad
In good aeaaon. Closing price were
firm at the general advance
Bulk of the sale was msde at $8,359

wa a sprinkling of shipper high a
$ 60, and as was noted above, a sorted
load reached $c.i5, high for the day, and
.901 th beat price paid sine lat Friday.
.30 I The large part of the decline of Monday
and Tuesday ha been recovered and
price are - now lea than 60 below th
close of last week, while today's top
beat Saturday's by a nickel. Quality at
rresent is mucn better that at the first
of the week and. in fact, shows an Ini

week. Shipping demand Is sgaln quite a
factor In the trade and while supplies
remain about the same there 4a a much
better tone to the killer trade.
