terson and Jack Holland from the lot;
Ben Stoloff waa carried off the field se
verely wounded and the Rourkea copped
the combat, 4 to 0. Outside of the above
details nothing much occurred to ap
pease the appetites of the large assem
blage of fans.
Daniel Tip was In fine fettle. He
generally Is about this time of the year.
One Josle got to third ' base. He was
Oeorge Watson and Goorga got there
j through a punk heave by Freddie
Thomas, who was greatly excited as he
was trying to engineer a double play.
George beat out an Infield hit and scooted
to third when Freddie threw the pill
over Schllebner's head trying to capture
Brltton, who knocked a slow roller. Rip
Watson got to second once, but the two
other Josies who got on couldn't get past
the Initial station. Fine.
On the other hand the Rourkea started

as has been before related, the Rourkea
are agalnrt Pittsburgh. Thus the treat
ment to Vance. Three runs were made
off Datzy and Lyle Pureell, who In com
pany with Stoloff and Wllley, floated In
yesterday after four or five days delay.
Lyle didn't do so worse, the Rourkes
only scoring once off him.
The Omaha outfield had an eaay time
yesterday. Not a fly was nailed In the
outer defense and only one of the hrts
went out there. That one went to
Thqmason. Both the other hits were In
field affairs.
In the second Inning Ffye put Patterson
out of the fray for too much gab. Imme
diately afterward I'mps Cullom ordered
Jack Holland out for the same offense.
Jack Refused to go so Sergeant Ferris
and lls aid were called upon to act a
escorts. Stoloff was spiked In the third
Inning either by Kruegr or by himself.
He put out Krueger, who was attemplng
to steal and fell to the ground severely
Injured. He was removed and the JobIs
lineup switched from one end of It to
the other as the box score will testify.
Conscalton Does Not Play.
Bunk Congalton did not play. Bunk
waa on the bench attired In uniform but
refused to participate. He says he in
tends to draw his pay however. Drawing
pay without work is a wise maneuver If
he can get away with It.
Thomason's three-bagger, errors by
Watson and Stoloff and Payne's blow
gave Omaha three In the second and lilts
by Seabaugh and Payne gave Omaha its
fourth count In the fourth.
