grain world .yesterday. Whil closings
were at advances of HiI'o for the aay on

lard 'exports were over 7,000,000 pounds.

Clearances of wheat and flour wer
equal to W7.0n0 bushels; corn, 3.000 bush
els; oats, 7,000 bushels.
Primary wheat receipts were 1.496.000
bushels and shipments 1,208.000 buahels,
against ' receipts of 1,041.000 bushels and
thlpments of 625,000 bushels last yesr.
Primary corn receipts were W2.000 bush
els and shipments 429,000 buahels, ngalnst
receipts of 4X2.000 bushels and shipments
of 268,000 bushels last year.
Primary oats receipts were 1.52,000
bushels and shipments 811.000 bushels,
against receipts of l.Otf.OOO bushels and
thlpments of 526,000 bushels last year.

fair run after all. For tn two days th
receipts show a gain of 6.0U0 head, as
compared with recent weeks, but are only
about on a par with the curresponuinc
txrtod of last year.
While in marKei on oeei steers oponca
a little slow, thei was a good buying de
mand for the good to choke kinds of both
cornfed and grass beef, and such caul
wer generally quoted as ateady with yes
terday. Good cornfeds sold ss high ss
lu.no and rang steers up to 19.00. Th
common to Inferior grades, aa efcll as th
medium to decent kinds of beef steers,
were slow to as much as loo lower.
Cows and heifers were In large receipt
ihls morning and buyers took advantage
of the situation to pound th market, with
th result that prices wer weak to 1016c
lower than yesterday, or around 16a26c
lower for the two days this week.
Good feeders were steady this morning,
but th medium grade wer slow to 10c
lower than yesterday. Ther was a fair
demand and a considerable proportion of
the offerings changed hands In good sea

rrlvals consisted almost entirely of
lambs, th number of ewes and old sheep
on sale being very small. Th quality of
the offerings on an average was common,
and perhaps one-third ot the receipts
could hardly be graded aa other than
feeder stock. Really good killing lambs
were scarce.
Owing to the light run of old sheep and
ewes, prices on such stock were gener
ally steady with yesterday. Th demand
was good and desirable kinds of killers
moved freely so that th offerings
changed hands about as fast as they
could be shaped up, and mad ready for
tal. ,
Lamb, by reason of the number on
sale, and alao on account of lower prices
reported on the opening from Chics go,
were a little alow In getting started. The
demand on the part of packers was good
and they all had order calling for a lib
eral number of killers, but without ex
ception buyer thought that they were
entitled to soma price concessions, for
the res son that prices at this point were
too high yesterday aa compared with
markets further east. The result waa
that lamba wer weak to 10c lower, and
In some cases possibly mora than that as
compared with yesterday.
There was a splendid buying demand
for feeder lamb a usual at this point
whenever receipt ar larg tor a day or
two In succession. While the feeling waa
a little weak at the opening on account
of th lower fat lamb market, the de
mand was so good that th big bulk of
the dealrabl feeders changed hands' be
fore midday. Th price paid were gen
erally steady with yesterday and tho mar
ket a a whole In a good condition, and
from a seller s point of view In an entirely
sstlsfsctory condition.
