-Lincoln and Omaha battled fifteen In
nings thin afternoon before the Antelope
finally wtm, 4 to 3, In n. cam- which
errora and the umpiring combined to
rnalse a regular farce
Each team wns guilty of six blunder
In the field, and It ran Kruger'a error
' In dropping Qulllln'a high fly which fin
ally allowed Lincoln to wore the win
ning run.
Manager Lloyd wan sent from the field
Jn the fifth Inning by the umpire for pro
testing too vohemently on a decision
which prevented Lincoln from tlelng the
rcore In that Inning, and the Lincoln
team aurrounded the uraprcs for several
minutes before the same proceeded.
Ojnaha took two In the second when
Thorns a drove a terrific liner through
tMcGafflgan for two bases, Congleton
singled to left, Blelbner singled to center
and Krug beat out an Infield hit.
Lincoln made ono in the fifth" when
Zllaokbum tripled and Collins got an In
field hit
One. for Omnhn In Eighth,
Again in the eighth, Omaha got on.
Crabb beat out an Infield hit and Krug
nnd Thomaaon followed Tilth singles,
worlng Crabb.
In the ninth, with one down. Collins ,
singled and Blackburn followed with
another safe dtlve. Williams forced I
Blackburn, but the umpire, n minute 1
later, declared Williams safe In an lit-
tempted steal of second. Graham hBn- '
died Crosby's throw perfectly and It j
looked as If Williams was an easy out.
The Omaha players protested, but to no j
nvall. Crabb put two strikes over on I
Schrelber and then, after fouling off halt I
a dozen, Rehrelber drove one to the left '
field fence for two bases, tlflng the score. 1
Sorogglns took Dessau's place In the. J
lenth and pitched wonderful ball until
the. thirteenth, when three Infiold hit
filled the bases, with but one out. It
looked certain that Omaha would win,
but Thomas ground'rt to Pcrogglns, the
Tunner was retired at the plate and
Thomas was out at flist for the third
out
Unlucky fifteenth.
In the fifteenth Qulllfn lifted a high
lly Just beyond the Infield, which Kruger
misjudged and Qulllln- leached econd
rafely. . McaGftlgan bunted, but Crabb
threw too late to catch Qulllln nnH'
AtcGafflgan was safe. Hmlth'a long saa
rlflce liner, of which Thomas made .
hcauUful catch and throw, scored the
winning run.
Crabb pitched ball which deserved to
"win and held Lincoln helpless at prac
tically all stages of the game. Thomas
contributed some rpeclacular stunts
three catches In center, robbing batters
of what appeared to be certain hits.
