Traders Believe July Will Discount
Under September Wheat.
CONDITIONS NOW ABNORMAL
While the Crop Promises to lie. the
Greatest In n Gnml Many Years
There Is nn Actunl Scarcity
of, Milling Ornln.
OMAHA. July 13. M4
The belief In Board of Trade circles Is
that July wheat Is likely to well at a dis
count under the September. It is nald
thoro will bef a big run of new wheat at
Chltago during the last halt of.iho pres
ent month, and that It will Us largely of
No. 2 red, and will be sent around on
dollrery In order to oven up tho large
outstanding contract In the trade. Tho
No. 2 hurd wheat forwarded has been
mainly sold for shipment abroad, and as
the supply of this grain Is llkoly to be
Inadequate for filling large sales already
made, there will bo none of It sent around
on contract Great surprises are still 111
store for those who have sold wheat
short for this month, as there Is likely
to be some disappointment In securing
enough wheat for delivery here and In
securing enough room on the lake and
ocean to mako deliveries of wheat In the
old world.
Conditions are abnormnl. White tho
wheat crop promises 930.000.000 bushels
and the winter wheat has been harvested
under most flattering conditions and Is
being thrashed In as active a manner as
possible, there Is nn actual scarcity of
wr.eat in some sections to even up tho
position of exporters. Enormous quanti
ties of wheat havo been sold to. go ubroad,
some placing the amount as high as
75.000,000 bushels. Theso figures look large
when the fact Is considered that the
United States has not been able to sell
any wheat abroad for quite a period pre
vious to this crop year. Wo will have
further large quantities of wheat for sale,
and It Is said that the foreigners will
come for this grain, as prices are said to
be quite satisfactory to them.
The hum of the reaper will be heard
In the spring wheat country during this
week, according to reports received, and
It will only be another ten days until
harvesting will be general In the spring
wheat belt and thrashing will soon be
under way as well.
Tho corn belt Is In a dry condition and,

CHICAGO GRAIN AND rROVISIONs'
Features of the Trading; and Closing
Prices nn Board of Trade.
CHICAGO, July 13. Immense receipts
fronV the new crop led to a decided
fall today in the price of wheat. Tho
market, after favoring the bears through
out the session, closed heavy at o to lt
lttc net decline. Corn finished He to o
down; oats off, o to lWQlHc nnd provi
sions ranging from 10o' loss to nn advance
of 20c.
Arrivals of wheat In Chicago reached
a total of 1,126 car loads, believed to be
tho largest amount that ever came here
on a single day. The movement, to other
terminals, especially In the southwest was
also heavy. In addition the domestic
vlsslble supply showed a huge gain.
Blackrust news, turned out to be of no
advantage to Uie wheat bulls. Nothwlth
rtandlng that In some places In South
Dakota the damage waH estimated as
high as 50 per cent, the outlook for the
spring crop as a whole encouraged belief
that chances were good for escape from
a gentral spread orthe plague. Cooling
winds prevailed and1 the forecast gave
nn hint of n return of damp weather this
ride of the Canadian line and there were
welcome rains wnere neeaea oeyona uie
InUnintlnnnl bnundarv.
Aithmiuh corn at first rose sharply owing
to reports or damage irom urouiu una
heat, tho market later underwent a de
cided setback. Advices that rain had
falleti In portions of Missouri, Iowa,
Illinois, Indiana and Ohio gave the iseArit
control despite assertions that the crop
In Kentucky and Tennessee was virtually
failure. .
Oats tumbled with com. July developed
special weakness, tho short Interest In
that month seeming to have been alto
gether expunged.
Active options In the provision trade
ascended with hogs. There was liberal
profit taking by longs, notawy oy in
fluential holders at Milwaukee.

A noteworthy fenture was tho persistent
