OMAHA, July C. 19K.
H Is expected by tliono who are best
poitcu on tho movement of wheat that
there will bo deliveries on contracta tne
Inst halt of July of possibly IO.IOJ.0.0 bush
els. These deliveries will be made up al
most wholly of No. 2 red winter, as tho
hard hIicju has sold to go out and It
will not bo available for the use of ship
Ftrs In tho way of evening up. It Is said
that receipts of wheat at Chicago will
break all records as enormous quantities
have been purchased to come there. It
will take good weather, however, to In
sure a big movement, as this grain has
yet to bo threshed and moved from tho
lainn. It In atlmatpd that at least
6O,Ouu,O00 bushels have been Bold to gol
Hliioacl. Sales to foreigners continue onH
a liberal scale. . .
It la now only fc tew days before tho
July government report will make iw
apreaarneo and there are many
who believe that the situation In tho
northwest will not bo as bearish as were
tho indications a short time ago.
Conservative houses In that neck of the
woods declare that there has not been
any black rust found, but that condj.
tlons are favorable for this dread dlseaso
to develop. It Is said that foreign de
mand for wheat will conUnue on a largo
scale for somo timo to come, importing
countries want the wheat raised. In the
United Btates-not only because of Its
quality, but because ot the price now
b Cornwall 'fewer friends than for some
time poM. because of the crop reports
from the west a the result ot rains
throughout that section.. There ln
damage to speak of for the cash article
at Chicago and this has something to do
with tho lowering of prices. ..,.,!
Oats orop is more promising and this
with the weakness in corn Is helping to
sond values lower, Bulls in oats are
slow to accumulate a line as they now
feel that both corn and oats must sell
lower. . .
The situation In hog products is In the
balance. Cash trade u aomowhat better
and the trade In lard Is also better. It Is
generally believed that thero must bo a
change In the situation surrounding the
provision market to attract the attention
of buyers.
Caah wheat was Mo lower.
Cah corn was unchanged to H4o lower.
Cash oats were HCic lower.

CHICAGO GRAIN AND PROVISIONS
Feature of the Trading nnd Closing
-i Prlrea on Hoard of Trade,
CHICAGO. July 6. Unquestionable
discovery of black rust In South Da
kota and reports of tho presence of the
plague In North Dakota and Minnesota
turned tho wheat market today over to
the bulls. There was a firm close at
MUVi.0 net advance. Corn suffered a net
loss of to Wc, oata finished H off
to a sixteenth up and provisions rang
ing from 2Hflo down to a raise of 7M
Huge receipts of new winter wheut
hero caused prices to sag heavily In the
early part of the session, especially for
the July option. Actual offerings on tho
sample tables represented more than 600
car loads. Dispatches saying that lar
gest yield ever known In Nebraska was
now assured had a further bearih effect.
Damage reports from Russia, however,
and a big export demand based on the
black rust news made the subsequent up
ward sweep of the market Irresistible.
Corn was under pressure from liquid
ating sales by holders. Crop reports
were generally favorable, and the cash
demand poor, notably so In the south
west, where abundance of rain was fall
ing. A liberal decrease In the visible sup
ply total, though, led to a reaction after
December prices had touched a new low
level for the season. Hedging sales of
oats were offset by black rust reports
from Iowa and South Dakota.
Buying of ribs amounted to much more
than the usual aggregate, and formed a
i toadying lnfluenco on provisions. The
buying of ribs appeared to be for pack
ers who had disposed of cash produce.
