SATURDAY Members dance night at Carter Lake club. The summer exodus to Europe seems larger than ever this year and several plan to spend at least several months abroad, both studying and traveling. Mrs. Robert Howe and daughter, Miss Marlon Howo, aro planning to go to Germany this autumn and probably spend one or two years on the other side while Miss Howo Is studying music and lan guages. Miss Howo recently finished at boarding school In New York and will completo her education abroad. Miss Louise White, who Is abroad with Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Dlett, will bo Joined shortly by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Victor White, Miss White may also re main abroad next year to study. Dr. Frank M. Conlln, Dr. George Stevens, Dr. William Anderson and Dr. Joseph Bohranak, four prominent young men in the medical profession, will leave tho second week In July and sail from New York July 14 on the Arabic for England. After attending a medical con vention In London, they will go to Vienna to study for six months before returning to Omaha. . , Mr. J. II. Millard and Miss Jessie Mil lard, with Dr; and Mrs. Harold Gtfford, have engaged passage on tho Aqultanla, sailing July 1 from Now York. Dr. Gtf ford goes to attend a medical congress at Oxford, England, and they will b abroad only a short time. Thompson leaves Omaha Friday with the Ad club to attend the national convention to be held In Toronto during the coming week. When the con vention close he will be Joined by Dr. Louis B. Bushman, when they together will spend about two months traveling In the British Isles and on the continent. They sail from Quebec and will make trips through Enslad. Ireland, Scotland, Switzerland. Holland, Belgium and France. Dr. and Mrs. Charles A. Hull will sail July 1 from New York on the steamer La S&vole for a, tlx weeks' trip abroad and will spend most of the time In Paris. Mr. and Mrs. Charles IL PJckens and Miss Ellxabeth Pickens will also salt July 1 from New York City to spend a few week on the British Isles. Miss Mary Munchhoff leave June J4 with Mrs. A. V. Klnsler and Miss Ruth Klnsler and will sail with them JuneX7 on the Kaiser Frederlok Wllhelm. They wilt spend three months In London, France and Switzerland. A party of seven Omaha business wo men will leavo Boston July 1 for England to spend the summer abroad. Miss Ander son will leave the party at London for a tour through Norway and Sweden, while the others go south to Germany, Franco and other continental countries. 0. E. S. Reunion Dance. Younger society folk will he out In force at the annual reunion of high school graduate and former students, to be held at Happy Hollow club Monday evening. Many of the moat prominent members of the younger set ore alumni of the school, and active In the affair ot the alumni association. Dancing will be the main entertainment ot the reunion, which 1 held every year just to bring together the graduates and former students of the old school on the hill, that they may renew acquaintances and enjoy a fine time In memory ot their happy school days. Miss Margaret Stirling, the maid ot honor, wore a gown ot peach-bloom satin, made with wide girdle ot satin finished with a butterfly bow. A pretty weddlnc was celebrated on Wednesday evening, when Miss Sadie Backlund become a bride of August An derson. The ceremony took place at 8 o'clock at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr, and Mrs. Alex Backlund. Rev, Adolph Hull performed the cere mony. Tho rooms were decorated with pink roses and palms, a canopy ot as paragus with miniature lights and altar. The bridal party entered to the strain ot the Lohengrin wedding march played by Miss Ethel Peterson. Mrs. Al Wick- strom sang "Because" and "I Love You Truly." The bride wore a gown ot white chiffon taffeta with Spanish gulpulr lace. The low bodice was trimmed with hand embroidered, pearls and brilliants, and the skirt draped In pannier effect with a square train. Her long, tulle veil wa draped In Normandy style and held In place by a string of pearls and Ullea of the valley. She carried a shower of bride's rose and lilies ot the valley. Miss Augusta Backlund wo bridesmaid and wore a gown of pale pink taffeta with bodice of Chanttlly lace and pompa dour pannier.
