by tho Commercial club arid by the local

EASTERN RAILROADERS
Representatives of the Union Paciflo
traffic department met tho fourth dele
gation of tho eastern railway ticket
agent from the Cleveland district at the
Union depot and escorted them to head
quarters, where the usual entertainment
program was carried out.
These guests of the Union Paciflo left
on the Los Angeles Limited for Denver
and Salt Lake, after which they will visit
Yellowstone National park and return by
way of Omaha. There will be a new del
egation through each day for the next
ten days, the agents who will arrive
this morning coming from the Pitts.-
burgh district.

DELAYED BY PROTEST
The neighborhood of Lake Inn, the
saloon of Peter Leach on government lot
number 10 in East Omaha, Is suffering
from acute thirst, while county commis
sioners are considering a protest against
the renewal of his liquor license, made
by a dozen people of that vicinity, Hear
ing on the matter was held Tuesday
night and continued until Thursday. The
license expired June 10.

lican year and the office ot county
sheriff Is worth having, Thomas J. Cronln
has tiled for the republican nomination.
He Is the tenth man of all parties to
