OMAHA HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES TO GET LETTERS The Omaha High school track athletes and members of the base ball team will be given their "Os" In a week or two for the work on the athletic fields for the school. Ten men will get letters on the track team, those participating In the state meet' and the Council Bluffs meet being Included. About a doxen will get base ball letters. -The base ball team will go to Guthrie Center. la., Friday and Saturday to play the team at that city. Guthrlo Center holds the high school championship of Iowa on the diamond. A plan Is on foot at the school to gtve all athletes earning letters annual passes to the athletic events even after they have graduated from the school. This courtesy Is In vogue at all universities and It will probably be accepted at the local high school. Key to the Situation Bee Advertising. PITCHER STEVENSON IS - RELEASED BIT PA R0URKE Pitcher Lester Stevenson has been given his release by Pa Rourke. He will probably go to the Grand Rapids club of the Central league. Stevenson came to Omaha from New Orleans, heralded as a good pitcher. He waa tried out a year ago with the St. Louis Cardinals and It was thought at the time, that he had the making of a coming twlrler. Eddie Justice, shortstop on the Rourkes last year, has also gone to the Grand Rapids club. Eddie was suspended this spring, but was reinstated and released to the Michigan city. home Journey.
