FIRST WORLD POLO MATCH WILL BE AT PANAMA FAIR The management of tho Panama-Pa clflo International exposition has an nounced that tho firs world polo tounvi ment will be held in San Francasco In 191C The event, which will attract tho best polo teams of all countries, will ex tend over a period of six weeks from March IB to May 1, It Is expected that 600 of the best ponies In the world will bo shipped to the exposition grounds for this fascinating tournament. The tournament will be under the auspices of the Amer- Cuban Exhibits at 'Frisco to Be Large The Cuban pavilion at tho Pnnama-Pa-clflo International exposition will be two stories In height, with a tower ot one corner. On threo sides will stretch tho wide verandas to tho Cuban plantation haciendas, nnd in the center ot the build ing will be a large glass-covered patio with the gardens of Cuban plants, trees and flowers. The building will be thlrty four motors long by thirty-three meters wide. In addition to the exhibits In the Cuban pavilion, Cuba, will exhibit exten sively In several ot tho main exposition palaces. Especially notoworthy will he the sanitary exhibit in the Palaco of So cial Economy and Education, which will display tho methods of righting tropical diseases which mado posslblo American construction of tho Panama canal. It was In Cuba that tho first battles with yellow fever and the other scourges of the tropics were first successfully waged. The achievements there were utilized In mak Ing sanitary the canal tone.
