Hanscom Park club said Fitch was the
"whole thing" at the federation, meet
ings and that other men had llttlo or
nothing to say about what should be
done.
Hanfcom Park Improvement club Is tho
largest In the city.

jority of tho delegates were against hlni.
but when Howell was mentioned as his
successor his wrath flamed up and ho
declared ho would stand by his gunk.

A quiet campaign among all the Im
provement clubs of the city has been
mado by the Hanscom park club In the
interests of their campaign to oust Fitcli.-
Unlcss Fitch Is defeated, members of
tho Hanscom park club will withdraw
their delegations from the federation,
they say. Tho federation as now man
aged, they declare, does not represent tho
Improvement clubs of the city,
A quarrel followed the reading of the
minutes at tho meeting Thursday night.
Fitch wanted tho minutes approved as
read, but there was a question as to
whether they wcro correct in that Po
lice Commissioner A. C. Kugel had been
endorsed nnd his opponents censured.
Fitch said: "Wo ought not to censure
members of the city council,"
