Dr. Nathaniel JtcGlffln, pastor of Lowe
Avenu Piebytcrian church, Is still In the
east, where he went some two weeks ago
on ecclesiastical matters. Ills pulpit will
be supplied Sunday morning by Mr. Wil
liam Ualrd, one of tho most prominent
attorneys and laymen of the city. Tho
services will begin as usual at 10:30, Sab
bath school following at 12. The other
services of" ;ho day will bo hold at tho
usual time, except that there will bo no
evening preaching.

The Rev.. II. F. Parshall, archdeacon
of Duluth, Minn., who was to have spent
a week In Omaha and vicinity giving ad
dresses In the Episcopal churches ou mis
sionary work among the Indians, has
been summoned to Cass Lake, Minn., by
the serious Illness of his wife's mother.
All his Nebraska engagements aro can
celled. Archdeacon Parshall was to have
spoken at Trinity cathedral Sunday
morning, at St. Andrew's in the after
noon and at the Church of the Good
Shepherd at night.
For the "Qo-to-Church" program at
the First Presbyterian Sunday evening at
7:30. Rev. Mr. Jenks will preach upon
"The Church as an Advertiser." Mr.
Hunt will sing, "Tho Good Shepherd
and the choir will give the anthom,
"Jesus, the Very Thought."

Captain Farrls enlisted in the union
army July 4. 1SG1. and served all tnrougn
