Blackburn engaged in conversation with

I considered unfair. After I had been
standing there about fifteen or twenty
minutes Blacftburn came 'toward me, say

then stated, "1 would Just ns soon speak

"That's all right, Mrs, Briggs," and kept
coming toward me. I then told him to
stay back; tfat I wantod nothing to. do

und it was then that I struck him. Ho
spoke to the referee and said: "It ehe is
going to causa trouble we wlt see about

Blackburn that I had seen the court, who
told me to be present at the sale and to
state to any bidder at the time ot the
sale that I had my homestead rights, to
said property. Nothing further was said."

Postmaster John C. Wharton, asking that
ho find her a husband from among tne

seeking work and not a husband, Mrs.
Honcox says sho wants a nice farmer,
"not rough for a drinker, who would ap
preciate a good wife, not a slave."
She describes herself as 0 years of age,
a good cook, neat and attractive and Is a
widow wit a no family. Her address is
