Powell, who has boon with a number of Shakespearean productions and others, settled d6wn In Omaha a year ago opened a studio for teaching dramatic art, but the reason for leaving tho stage has Just been revealed. Mr. H. T. Harris ot Xew York made a wager of 1100 that Mr. Powell would not leave the stago for an entire year and stay In one city for . that time. This morning Mr. Powell received a telegram: "Tlmo Is up, you win and chock has been sent. Como back to Broadway." And Mr. Powell leaves tho latter part of the week for New York.
