Mr. Williams Is now In charge of the fiscal bureaus and Secretary McAdoo first assistant In matters of government finance. Tho office of comptroller of the currency has been vacant soveral months. From time to time various reports have been afloat in congressional circles of opposition being brought to bear agalnit the nomination of Mr. Williams.
