County Jail Has a
Scare from Smallpox
A smallpox scare In tho county Jail do-
veloped when It was learned that Rusa
Lunda, a negro serving- a thirty-day sen
tence for vagrancy, was afflicted with thej
disease.
Lunda is 19 years old and weighs 220
pounds. Ho came to tho Jail last week
and complained of Illness. Dr. F. 3.
Schlelrer. county physician, made the dlsi
covery that his ailment was smallpox
The Jail was quarantined by city health,
authorities pending fumigation.
