The large receipt the fore part of the
week enabled the packers to reduce
price on all killers and the market

the medium or In between grades, oloalng

on that basis. Because the offerings Alt-
fered so much as to quaMty and finish
and the buyers wanted only such grade
as were suitable for the holiday trade,
the market all the week was very frregu
lar and prices on most everything had a
very wide range. In other words. It waa
a catch-as-catch-can' market the move
ment being active on some day and
then stowing up later on in the fore
noon with several loads carried over for
the following day.
Something a title unusual for this
time of the year was the fair trade In
feeder lambs and ewes, which brought
good prices, being stroqg as compared
with1 the close of the previous week.
Bulk ot the feeders were on the short
fed order and were taken to the country
for a second finish. Feeder lambs are
quotable around $6,256.75 and feeder
ewes at $3.0004.00, lt taking fleshy grades
to bring the latter price.
