BE HELD NEXT. MONTH
The Christmas bazaar of the churches
will open December 8 In the rotunda of
Tho nee building.
Twenty-throo churches have applied for
space at this affair and plans are being
tnudo now which will make It the most
attractive fair that has ever been given.
For several months the women's aid so
cieties of the different churches have been
buey making dainty little articles for
Christmoa gifts which they will sell at
this fair. Not only can attractive Christ
mas gifts be bought here, but there will
be a splendid opportunity for the house
wife who was not at home to put up
her fruit for the winter, to buy a goodly
supply at this fair.

Twenty candidates for tne position of
commissioner of the Commercial dub to
succeed J. AT. djuld, who'socs-to Dayton.
O., nre recorded with the committee
chosen by the club to select the succes
sor. The. committee Is not making public
tho names of the applicants, but Is con
sidering their merits from various stand
points. One of tho general questions
that la constantly coming up Is whether
to select a man from Omaha or one of
tho out-of-town nppltcanta. For certain
reasons It Is thought an Omaha man
would be best and for certain other rea
sons an outsider with good experience In
the work and ability In the line of work
la considered desirable.
Most of the meetings of the subcom
mittee have, consumed their time In dig
cussing a possible reorganization of the
working machinery of the ' Commercial
club.
MOTORCYCLIST INJURED
IN WAGON COLLISION
Fred Thlole, 21:0 Harney street, and
Hank Kaufman, Fifteenth and Center
streets, were both painfully Injured nt
Sixteenth anil Vinton streets, when the
motorcycles upon which they were riding
collided with a grocery wagon.
Kaufman was cut In sovrral places and
Thlele suffered a badly bruised knee.
They were 'given medical attention by
Dr. It. W. Conncll and then conveyed to
St. Joseph's hospital, where they will un
dergo further treatment. It la believed
that both hae also suffered Internal injuries.
Mrs, Lody Withdraws
Her Suit for Divorce
The dlvorco suit of Mrs Ixtulsft Store
Iody was dismissed yesterday morning.
Carl liana Lody of Merlin, surprised by
news of dismissal of tho divorce suit of
his wife, formerly Miss Umlse Storjs, de
