GRAIN AND PRODUCE MARKET Foreign Buyer Turning Attention to Canadian Wheat LOOK FOR HIGH CORN FUTURES Some of the nest Speculators Are Anticipating- that Value Will Go Up to One Hollar Per Bushel. OMAILV. Sept 17. 1913 A complete halt has been called for the time being In the demand for our cash wheat on foreign account. Foreigners have turned their attention to the wheat grown north of the International line and during the last two days more than 1.000,000 bushels of Canadian wheat have been taken for shipment abroad. It was Harned after the closa of the Board of Trade yesterday that vesssl room for a goodly amount or wheat was taken at the seaboard yesterday and that the grain Is to be loaded and shipped abroad at as early a date as possible. One mes sage from the seaboard said that the larger part of this wheat Is to go to the continent, where there, has been too much rain and whero millers and speculators are depending upon Canada and the united States for the wheat wanted. The wheat market at Chicago Is be lieved by many to be in a condition to advance, but without assistance of the publlo the bears will likely control mat ters until something now Invisible turns up to assist the bulls and advance prices. Cash wheat was unchanged. The larger houses In the Chicago trade, as well as other leading market centers, believe that with corn holding firm around the present high levels, the mat ter of putting- out short sales with the expectation of reaping a profit Is entirely wrong. Some of, the best speculators in the Chicago markst, and who are giving corn tho most of their attention, advance the opinion that the yellow cereal will sell as high as 31.00 on the crop. They baso their ideas on the shortage In the ylold In this country, coupled with tho fact that Argentine now claims to be down to bed rock In the matter of sup piles of corn, with only 22,000,000 bushels left for shipment, after having shipped 110,276,000 bushels . during the last several months. Cash com was H&le higher. There has been a fair amount of Uauld- atlon by -weak holders In the oats market and oats are now In a position to do better. Chsh nntn w.r. Ue hlrher. Near the close of yesterday's business much activity prevailed In tho feeder trade and after the day was over some country buyers were still without what they wanted, appearing willing to pay almost any price if any more desirable offerings were available. Another exceedingly generous supply arrived this morning, there being In ail 171 curs, or 48,000 head reported in, the biggest run for a Wednesday slnoe Octo ber 18, 1911. More than halt ot the re ceipts were feeding sheep and lambs, but notwithstanding this, the killer supply was regarded as considerably better than normal for this time ot tho year. Trade in both killers and feeders was slow In getting under way, but this was largely due to the fact that much sorting had to be done. It was tho unanimous opinion among traders that a good mar ket on all kinds ot offerings prevailed, considering the sire of the receipts and the general conditions aurroundtajf the ttade. Fat lambs and the. general trade In feeders was practically on the same btsls as the day betore, while mutton bt tarings, being in very moderate supply, sold at prices steady to e, dime higher.
