BOWLING LEAGUE AWARDS
TWO MORE FRANCHISES
Two moro teams were glyen franchises
In the Commerolal Bowling league at
a meeting at the Metropolitan alleys yes
terday afternoon. The Jabes Croks team
and Beselln'a Trade Marks were the
teams to whom -franchises were Issued.
It waa also decided to have a ruling this
year to the effect that no player should
ba allowed to participate In more than
one league. The reason for the ruling
that last year many players were
members ot three or four teame and as a
result many matches were played with
two straw men.
The meeting of the Metropolitan Bowl
ing league, which waa to have been held
at the Metropolitan alley Sunday, was
postponed Indefinitely. The meting will
to probably be held some time this week.

CHICAOO, Sl.-Pittsburgh, baffled
by Bert Humphries' curves, lost a lo to 0
game to Chicago today and with a chanco
to go Into third place. O'Toole's wlld
ness, some long and time bits off him
and Cooper, and loose fielding by the
visitors, combined to enlarge the Chicago
total. O'Toole passed Leach and Ever
In the first Inning and Schulte sacrificed.
Zimmerman was purposely walked, fill
ing the bases, but Baler waited for four
balls and forced In a run. Ward Miller's
single scored Ever, Zimmerman belm?
cut down nt the Plato by Mitchell's
throw. Baler was nailed at the plate :n
an attempted double steal.
Schulte's single and Baler's home run
added two more in the third. Cooper took
up O'Toole's job beginning the fourth.
In the sixth he pasted Baler and Miller
with no one out and threw wild on Bnd
well's attempted sacrifice, filling the
bases. Singles by Archer, Leach and
fiver folowed, and fumbles by Carey and
Mitchell gave Chicago extra bases enough
to make five more runs. Score:
