P. tailor shop In the McCague block, became despondent over tho refusal of his clrt to accept his attentions and after locking himself In his plaoe of business turned on the gas. Thew, SW South Fifty-second street, noticed the escaping vapor as he was making some wiring examination In the building and after tracing It to Agursky's room he and the Janitor forced the door open and found the young man appar ently lifeless. The police ambulance was summoned and an examination revealed a spark of life. After the pulmotor had been In use thirty minutes natural re spiration was revived and Agursky was then taken to St. Joseph's hospital where ho Is rapidly overcoming the effects of the gas.
