For New Members
The Carter Lake club naa started a
campaign for new members and every
present member Is strenuously endeav
oring to persuade his friends to Join" In
order that a grand" total of 200 new
members may be filed on the register
of the club.
Tho club is making the efforts to se
cure new members In order that a fund
may be provided which wilt pay for sev
eral necessary improvements. The large
membership has necessitated more bath
ing facilities and mora locker equipment
and as the club's policy Is to remain free
from any debts, the membership cam
paign was suggested as a means of pro
curing funds.
In addition to the new improvements
wt)lch' will be made during -the wintea
season, the sewerage system 'will be com
pletely installed this week,- - which will
make It practical for all who own' lota
to build immediately.
For the remainder of the summer an
Initiation fee of 330 will be, charged,
which, coupled with half a season's due's
of 29 will make the total expenses ot
Joining 339. Two hundred members will
net 38,000, which the board of directors
belloves to be an adequate sum to pay
for any and all Improvements. Next
year the directors have decided .to ad
vance the Initiation fee to $50, so that a
saving of $11 and all this year's priv
ileges will be received by all who Join
this year.
A dinner will be given at the club
August 20' for all who secute new mem
bers. Any new member who secures an
additional member Is also entitled to be
present.
