Is being held here. Larmon, is pclrel
against Calvert of. Crete .in the semi
finals, which are to.be played tomorrow,
while Williams of Lincoln and Harry
Smith of Lexington are the other two
players In the aeml-tlnals.
The play In the singles were narrowed
to the semi-finals in a series of brlllant
matches which were played this- after
noon. Harry Smith of Lexington 'put out
Tony Edmondson of Friend Irt three hard
set, 6-3, 8-10 and 6-4. One of the sur
prises of the tournament was the defeat
of Bob McCague of Omaha by Guy1 Wil
liams, the Lincoln champion, this after
noon, in three sets. McCague, up until
today, has been playing brilliantly, . but
he played a listless game in hla match
against Williams. The sets stood 6-2,
7-9, 6-0.
Calvert, n" the defeat of McProud, the
Wealeyan star, uncovered the best tennla
