Bulls received help, too, from a decided rally In coarse grain and from export business accompanied by gossip ot re newed tension between Austria and Rus sia. Predictions of larger world shipments caused' an opening dtp In wheat prices and there, was also a little setback near tho - end of the session. Longs taking profits were responsible for the fact that the final transactions showed only a mod erate detrree of strencrth. Scattered rains in Nebraska ana Kan sas gave corn -a down turn at the start, but prices rallied sharply after a prom inent expert- had stated that the crop outlook was poor over a large part of Illinois. There seemed to be no end to bullish dispatches from the wost and southwest. . . Oats were .affected a good deal by ad vices from Iowa telling of damage from h Iprorislons shorts covered freely. The Incentive came from higher prices for hogs and from the bulge in coarse grain. Leading options closed as follows: Artlclel Open. I High. I Low. 1 Close.l Yes'y. Whsat) Ju)y. Sept Dec. CATTLE Receipts of cattle, as usual pn a l-'rlday, wore very light, and aa It happened u considerable proportion of thoso reported in wero shipped dlrtot to packers, so that all told there were only live or six cars actually on sale. Con sidering that It was a Friday there was a very fair demand, and practically ev erything In sight hod changed hands early In tho morning. The prices paid wero generally strong as compared with yesterday. Among the fat cuttle here a bunch of yearlings and 2-yeur-oldn sold up as high 114 18.75, with yearlings at Js.cO. Thero was probably no time this week when these cattlo would have, sold any higher, and the markut on tho good grades may be quoted as fully steady with last week's close. Common nnd in ferior grades of half-fat stuff are prob ably lla lower for the week. There weru not enough vows or butcher stock of any kind to muko a market, but the feeling was fully steady. There wore no fresh stackers or feed, cm, but the situation remains about the same aa yesterday, that Is around 23Q40O lower than a week ago.
