HEAL ESTATE LOANS. QMAJIA. Juno IS, 1913. Millions of bushels of wheat, corn and oats were thrown Into three big Pits on the Chicago Board of Trade yester day, and without new buying power, prices suffered sharp recessions all around. Tho lending weakening aud bear ish factor was the rain In the northwest, In North Dakota and Canadian provinces ln particular, and the absence of new buying power to absorb the lncreaeed supplies thrown overboard. For several days past the foreigners have been selling long wheat In the way of securing avail able profits, and they have also put out short lines, and by this clever coup are counted among the largest money makers oil the recent price advance, ln addition to tho heavy sales of tha threo leading cereals by longs, there were heavy short lines put out and this was a prlco maker In Itself. With a big run of old wheat during June, on unusual occurrence and the new crop already headed to points of dis tribution, the situation cannot be called encouraging for those on the bull side. There were 439000 bushels of wheat at primary markets yesterday, whloh was more than double the receipts for the corresponding day a year ago. Cash oh... 1 ' i li-n 1iviv Those who held long corn sold freely yesterday and the same may be said with the larger noiaers or oais. ii was a where the recent rains and lower tem peratures have caused tho bulls to par tially change their minds as to the future course of values. Ono of the more con servative houses ln tho. trado advanced the opinion after the close last nlKht that not only corn, but oats have been over-bought and over-bulled and that a sotback and general shake out of scat tered longs would place both markets In a position where an Increased trade would be seen. Cash corn was unchanged to Ma higher. Cash oats ware K&Vto higher. Clearance of corn were 46,000 bushels, oats 16,000 bushels and wheat and flour equal to 423,000 bushels. Liverpool closed unchanged to Hd lower on wheat and unchanged to Hd lower on corn. Primary wheat receipts were 669,000 bushels nnd shipments were 1.248.000 bush els, against receipts last year of 349,000 bushels and shipments of 627,000 bushels. Primary corn receipts were 1,440,000 bushels and shipments were 370,000 bush els, against receipts last year of 972,000 bushels and shipments of 418,000 bushels. Primary oats receipts were 1,400,000 bushels and shipments were 699,000 bush els, against receipts last year of 669,000 Dusneis ana shipments or 474.WO misneis. CARLOT RECEIPTS. Wheat. Corn. Other leading staples, tooo. all snowed net gains, corn ttc to UUio oats, 0Hc to 'SKa and provisions 2H9 60 to 10. Bulls were prompt to take action sug gested by the absence of rain ln South Dakota. Authorities wero quoted to the effect that much of the planting ln South Dakota had been done In fields which were Improperly prepared, and that the chances were agalnts the damage there being repaired, the mercury at Huron. & D,, today being 99 in the snaae. Nebraska advices were that high temperatures an peared to be shriveling the grain, and that near Grand Island tho relapse within four or five days averaged 15 to 20 per cent. First receipts of new wheat at St. Louis and promises of harvesting next week In Illinois, resulted in a decided set back to prices at ono time, nut buuiBh sentl ment again become uppermost after profit taking by longs. Primary terminals reported arrivals as amounting to 669.000 bushels against 249.. 000 bushels a year ago. Export clearances of wheat and flour equalled 423,000 bushels, conflicting crop aavices macs the course of the corn market Indlclslve. Many dispatches declared that the hot weather was ravoraDie to growth. Other reports had It that large sections of tha belt were very dry and that the crop was losing ground.
