Twenty-one days were consumed In the trip over the lines of the Union Pacific railroad. Oregon Short Line and the Ore gon Railroad and Navigation company to Portland, Seattle and Tacoma, with side trip to Vancouver and Victoria. An other side trip was made by stage to Shoshone Falls, Idaho, as guests of John A. Crelghton and C. H. Dewey, who owned the falls at that time. Mr. Martin, who made the trip, recalls many personal Incidents among others that Luther Drake was the champion whist player: George A. Hoagland, the fisherman of the party; Captain C. B. Rustln tho social "developer," and John A. Crelghton and Fred Metz the "Jubilee singers."
