Boehler. pitching for the Josles, had the Omaha batters at his mercy, allow ing but three scattered hits. Had It not been 'for his wildncss tho Rourkcs would not have made a run. He pave eight free passages to first and struck out six men. For Omaha three pitchers worked and nono were effective. Closman, who heretofore has been the mainstay of this department, was driven from the mound under fire In the third Inning, when the Hollanders drove In five runs. Robin son, who succeeded him, went well un til the fifth, when the Mlssourlans again started and Fugate was brought to the rescue. A three-base hit off Fugato In the fifth gave Et. Joseph three runs, which made a total of six In this frame, The game was uninteresting and was replete with anything but brilliant play ing by either side. The fans quarreled among themselves and a free-for-all fight was narrowly averted In the third Inning by the quick work of the police. Three Men Arrested. Several St. Joseph boosters became personal In their remarks to some Omaha fans and a fight started, which ended up In tho diamond and the ar rest of three men. Omaha took an early lead over the Josles. Justice scored In the opening In ning and Kcff sacrificed, Thomason fol lowed with a walk. Kane singled, scor ing Justice and Neff went to third, vrhero he scored on a passed ball. Melnke opened the fifth with a walk an dnoehler wo hit by a pitched ball. Kelly tripled, scoring Melnke and Boeh ler. Watson singled, scoring Kelly, Ochi sacrificed and Zwllllng and Grif fith walked, filling the bases. Westerzll forced Watson at the plate.
