French's error of Schlpke's grounder In the ninth Inning -with two men on bases gave Omaha the third and last game o the series Worn Champion Denver by an 8 to 7 score. By taking yesterday's battle theRourkes made a clean sweep of the series, sending Denver to Des Moines after having lost six of the seven games they have played on the road. Denver's loss to Omaha and Lincoln's win over Sioux City puts tho Grizzlies down In second place. When the Rourkes came to bat In their half of the ninth the count was one against them, the leading run having been made on Thomason's error In the ninth. Thomason, however, redeemed himself when ho sent a slashing drive to the centerfleld boards for three bases. Kane followed it up with a double over the third sack, Thdmason bringing In the tying score. Congalton sacrificed and Johnso was walked on purpose by Hager man, who had replace Decon Farthing. Grubb sent a hot one to French, who threw- Kane out at the plate, Johnson taking Becond. Kane dished up a pretty piece of play ing tn the second Inning, which kept Denver from a score. Match Postponed The Crclghton varslty-Crelghton High school tennis match, scheduled for tho Crclghton courts Saturday afternoon, was called off because of the poor con dition of the varsity men. They had not recovered from the hard trip to Tabor, la., and on the tight battle with Tabor college team, and the high school lads agreed to call the match off for tho time being, threatening to get them later. Bushman, star man of the college team. pitched for the Juniors against fourth high In an Interclass game Friday and was batted around unmercifully. Season Opened at the Country Club Country club members opened ther sea son with a deal of enthusiasm yesterday, Dinner was served at 7 o'clock last night to 314 members, one ofi the largest gath erlngs for an opening the club has had In recent years. There was muslo and dancing throughout the evening. In the afternoon several golf matches were played, the links being filled almost the entire afternoon. Tho course had been put In good condition and the mem bera thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They began to arrive at noon and remained until the call of the dinner hour.
