on tho turf courts of tho Saddle and

straight sets from "Waldner and Gardner,
the Chicago stars.
Tho speed and accuracy of Rice and
Jones' on footing to which they were ac

form, according to Chlcagoans 'Who ob

Australians was practically' Invlhdblo

BOSTON, May 7. Boston won another
extra inning gamp from Pittsburgh to
day, 2 to 1, the winning run coming in
the -twelfth. It was a pitchers' battle
between O'Toolo and Tyler, tho latter
having the better of the argument
Pittsburgh's single- run was due to an
error. by Sweeney, Wilson scoring, when
tho former dropped Whaling's throw to
get Butler,, who had started to steal.
Boston tied the score in the fifth, when
Whaling was hit and got around singles
by Maranvllle and Myers.
Each team had several opportunities to
make another hun, but strong pitching
and fielding always prevented until the
final Inning. Tyler began it by striking
out. Maranvllle singled and went to
third on Myers' drive to center. Con
nelly put a high one to left and Garey
