Guth will bo awarded the contract for constructing a new engine house for the city Ore department at Sixteenth and Iiard streets when tho council convenes Tuesday. Tho cost of the new house will be $35,000. Negotiations are under way between tho city and the Byron Reed Real Estate company to purchase a lot at Twelfth and Dodge, southwest corner, for llt.W) for a new engine house site. City Commissioner Wlthnell will rec ommend the purchase. If the deal tees through a new engine hoUBe will be built there, thn house at 211 South.
