It resembles tropical mahogany in many ways, and is as Kurd as the old-fashioned blach -walnut, but has u finer grain and tahes a higher finish. This specimen was finished by the Scholle Furniture Company, of Chicago, and owing to the scarcity of the old-fashioned blach walnut, such wood as this is worth from $200 to $700 per thousand feet, board measure. 12
