C, who In the na tional director of the Hod Cross society in the United States, a rived in Omaha yesterday morning and will take chorgo of the, Ited, Cross work In tho city. Ho will be. assisted a groat deal by Miss Ml Han Stuff, who Is the lied Cross nursa nt the dispensary of tho Visiting Nurse nxsoclatlon. The nurses are doing field work at the pn-sent time and thero will bo a lied Cross nurse nt each relief station after Wednesday. Owing to tho fact that lite telephone connections are hard to ct many of the nurses enlisted In the lied Cross service In the city have, not ot been reached. At the dispensary of the Visiting Nurse Association about fifty people have bpen given medical attention. Most of the Injuries are the result of cuts from flying pieces of glass and tho wounds havu been neglected. Many of the victims as they come to the dispensary, which is tn Jacobs hall, are also given food and clothing. Dean Tancock, who has made, a relief station of this building for the- victim" of the storm Sunday, has received both food and clothing from the women of Trlnlts Nearly every member of the parish Ins sent In a bundle of something and orders for food at tlm different groceries.
