very little demand because of competi

Butter has advanced 1 cent a pound,
selling now at 37 cents a pound, but It
also is expected to drop next week. It
prububly will go as low as 36 cents a
pound.
.Mutton has advanced 2 cents a pound
iin.l pork 1 cents. Beef, bacon and pork
prices remain the same.
Vegetables aro plentiful. Head lettuce
has declined from 12 to C cents a head.
He-its, radishes, onions, carrots and tur
nips arc relllng three bunches for 10
cents. Spinach is 15 cents a peck, ripe
tomatoes are 10 cents a pound, and cab
base Is a penny a pound. Mushroom
are CO cents a pound and red onions 1
cent a pound.

lecture, given by pupils of the schoolH,

last Friday evening. The first game was

vived by her husband, a son and a baby
daughter, 8 months of age, besides nut
parents and sisters. '
