Bvldence of tho overloaded condition of
tho flour trade formed the principal
cnuse of a drop of 44c In No. 2 red wheat
at Toledo. For a similar reason cash
wheat elsewhere, too, headed down
grade, although not to such a decldol ex
tent. The mllln were said to have been
turning out Hour at practically their .full
capacity, but hud fulled to find buyers
of late. Offerings, 30c to '60c a barrel un
der public quotations, It wns declared
wcro now tho rule.
Wheat here sagged from tho start,
and closed at nearly the lowest figures
of the day. Rains throughout India, and
big shipments from Argentina with mild
weather and liberal primary arrivals In
tho United States, all had nil effect In
turning sentiment to the "Bear side.
Notwithstanding generous export busl
ne6s at tho seaboard, corn turned weak,
chiefly because of tho bfg receipts. Ar
gentina crop estimates wcro enlarged,
and renewed attention was given to the
domestic shortage of cattlo and hogs.

ward. The selling movement of the last
few days gained In strength end for n
time in the forenoon tho market was

embraced' not only the speculative leaders,

obscure Issues.
Among the more prominent speculative
stocks. Reading wns depressed 3 points.
