HE ANNUAL dinner danco given Tuesday evening nt tho Omaha
club was a brilliant event and was highly enjoyed by all of tho
guests. Evoryono seemed to realize that this was the laBt large
social nffalr until after Lent.
During dinner, thero were three cabaret singers to entertain the
guests, a young man and two young women. Tho young man is a good
accompanist as well bb a singer. Following dinner, tho guests danced in
the main hall and in tho reading room.
Some beautiful gowns were In evidence. It scorns to mo that Omaha
should bo proud of its beautiful young women.
Mrs. William Sears Poppleton waB beautiful In a pale pink velvet
over pale bluo charmousc.
Mrs. Charles Kountzo was nttractlvcly gowned In purplo velvet draped.
.Mrs. J. 15. Summers wan Btunnlng In an evening gown of whlto satin
charmousc, trimmed with gold bands and orystal.
Miss Stella Hamilton woro cloth of gold, draped, and trimmed with
shadow lace.
Mrs. Do Forest Richards woro ono of the most attractive gowns. It
was made of rich brown brocade, draped, and cream shadow laco formed
the bodlco.
Mrs. Glenn C. Wharton woro' whlto laco over whlto charmeuso,
draped, with bluo chiffon.
Miss Ella Mao Drown woro a black and white evening gown. Tho
black wtin charmeuso was draped with whlto chiffon and trimmed with
crystal.
Mrs. David A. Daum woro a beautiful ovenlng gown of bluo and silver
brocade, embroidered In rhlncstones.
Sovcral of tho debutantes woro boautlfully gowned. Miss Margarot
tfrcer Baum, who Is one of tho best gowned young women of tho youngor
set, woro her dobut gown of shell pink charmeuso, drapod with exquisite
shadow lace. Miss Carmollta Chase wore a deoper shade of pink char
mouBO, trimmed with crystal.
Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Kennody entertained at ono of tho dinnor parties,
when their guests woro Mr. and Mrs. A. V. Klnsler, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn
