were generally strong to Jc higher, and
by the tlulo that trade was under way
they hutl been pushed up to figures that
were 573 !0c higher tlmn Monday, anil It
was at these latter figures that the bulk
of the offerings sold.
A comparatively small part of the sup
ply went Into shippers Hiid speculators
hands, leaving prnctlrally everything nt
the disposal of the packers. Good lights

but the heavy grades were no better
than a nlckul up and Wore, cxtiemely
