Peter Loch left for Manning last night Mr. Loch was subject to fits of despond iny, though he had no troubles that vimld Inove him to take his life. Joseph Ixm.Ii, wro only yesterday returned from u xlslt lo his brother, said Valentine ac ompanied him o the railroad station at OMAHA, December IK 1912. , Snow, the crop expert and stat utlciau, yesterday Issued an analysis of the spring wheat movement to date and tho requirements of country millers In tho fu' spring wheat states, with the amount which must be reserved for seed, leaving an apparent total of only 74.000,000 bush els. Out of this amount Mlnneapolis'and Duluth mill requirements for eight months and the carry over at the end of the year must be supolled. The spring wheat crop of Minnesota and the two Dakota and Montana was placed by the government at 27H.UW.0O0 bushels and by Mr. Snow at 2S5.0OO.0UO bushels. This state ment attracted the attention of larger speculators and there was good huylng not Only by shorts, but an Investment de mand of considerable prominence sprung up, and this buying changed sentiment from that of a decidedly bearish feeling to the opposite or bullish side of tho mar ket. According to this report of Mr. Snow, the United States, so far as tho spring wheat crop is concerned, Is now down to a domestic basis. The entire world knows that tho crop of wheat raised In the southwest has been pretty well marketed, although tho receipts from day to day continue of fairly liberal proportions. Wheat bulla said last night that the ac tion of the market In advancing above 80c on a light trade, also that the course of values In the last week, in rallying from every decline, showed that prises were low enough for the present, and It was on a coort basis. Bears, however. said that an advance of 6c a bushel In cash wheat would bo necessary to Justify a butgo in tho May option, and that the trade must broaden suscepttbly before much of an advance can be held. Cash wheat Vic to lc higher. The demand for cash corn was not as large yesterday as on previous days, soles in Chicago being- oniy jwswu ousneis. Prices In the sample markets were un changed for choice, but low grade mixed corn declined 1 cent. It wsb the general Impression among the best posted corn handlers that there would be little change In cash values between now and January 1, and that consignments wouia De rusneu In to market.
