The Nebraska Corn Improvers' nssocla- ;
tlon Is planning ono of, the largest and
most attractive corn ehows for tho com
Ing winter It has ever held. It Is to bo i
held In connection with the Nebraska .
Horticultural society's big fruit and floral j
display at tho city auditorium. Lincoln,
during the week of tho organized agri
cultural meetings, January 20124.
Tho show will Include both senior and
Junior exhibits. Including the trophic
there are over J2.CO0 offered In premiums.
The special features of the show are th'i
JJnlor and senior ten-ear exhibits, the
acre contents, high yielding ear contest,
high yield silage contest, seed corn men's
display, freak classes, five-acre wheat
contest, experiment station exhibit, do
mestic science exhibits and the sweep
stakes and grand rhnmplon prltes.
The ten-ear exhibits Include tho honor
ary amateur and Junior classes. In the
honorary classes there arc two lots, W1
In cash premiums being offered. In tho
amateur classes there nre six lots, four
In the eastern, two In the western sec
tion of the state. In these nix lots 1131
Is offered as premiums. In the Junior ten
car classes there are six lota, three In the
eastern and three In the western section
of the state. There Is K0 In these six
flanses. There ore also two lots of po
tatoes In these Junior classes, for which
30 In premiums is offered.
Th" Two-Acre Contents.
There are two aero contests! one of
them open to the senior members and the'
other open to the Juniors. Tho senior aero
contest Is offered by tho Nebraska
Farmer company and Is open to any com
grower In Nebraska- There Hre $250 of
fered In cash premiums In this contest.
The Junior acre contest, open to all Jun
iors, offers Z In cash prizes.
There are two high yielding ear con
tests, ono In tho Junior and the other In
the senior classes, which nre open to
members the same as in tho aero con
tests. Blxty dollars In tho senior and $40
In the Junior classes Is offered in cash
jiremlums. These contests are classes of
Interest. If growers think they can pick
out a high yielding ear they may select
one and send it down to tho corn show
and It will bo planted and tested by the
experiment station.
Tho Nebraska Bllo company Is offering
J140 In prizes for the ten ears of corn
producing1 the most ensilage of the best
quality, the corn to bo tested by the
experiment station at Lincoln.

paratively new feature of the show, A
small space will be given free, of cost,
to all seed corn growers desiring to make
nn exhibit in the coming winter show.
